DEMO(lition) & RENO(vation) 2007

The cold storage room was converted from cold room to strictly storage room by adding styrofoam insulation and dry wall, paint, shelving, lights and linoleum flooring.

In the kitchen new countertop was installed, as well as taps with a pre-rinse assembly and ceramic wall tile over the sink area. Cupboards and walls were painted. The working tables (islands) were refurbished with sliding drawers and dividers for trays, bread boards, etc., and then painted.

The entire project lasted 13 working days - 9 volunteers gave "freely" of their time (painter, electrician, plumber, carpenter, etc.) Seen here are - back row: Rod McHugh and Shane Monaghan - centre row: Malcolm Chisholm, Jim Gomm, Jim Kirwan & Fr. The parishioners, especially the C.W.L. Ladies and the Funeral Luncheon Team and the Social Committee are grateful for the upgrading of their kitchen area!

We also wish to thank the CWL ladies for all the hard work they did. They helped clean out the storage room and cupboards, washed all the cupboards and walls before the painting was done, and washed everything in the hall as well (tables, chairs, file cabinets, pictures, etc.), and then put the kitchen and hall back together.
