Opening Song:  “Your Song of Love” was sung accompanied by Mariette Hickey on the organ.

President, Cathy Gomm welcomed all members and guests (Sue Sushkiw, Eunice Howard, Caroline Cyrwus and Micheline McGregor) to the wind-up Social. She wished everyone a great time as we gathered together to celebrate spiritually and to share in some food, fun and fellowship. 

PRESENT:  52 members and guests present.          

Pinning Ceremonies:  Fr. Mathieu presided over the ceremonies, assisted by JoAnne Joly, Doreen Merkas, Sue Quackenbush, Cathy Gomm and Sandra Belanger.  14 members received service pins including 7 new members.

Doreen Merkas, Mariette Hickey and Lorraine McGregor received Maple Leaf Service Pins.

Father Mathieu said Grace before a luncheon of cold hors d’oeuvres, desserts and refreshments was served.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

CATHY GOMM thanked everyone for the generous donations for the Birthright Shower in May.  A total of $397.00 was received, plus gifts and diapers.

Spiritual Development: 

Doreen Merkas reported on:

·        The Rosary said at the Grotto in May.  Approximately 35 people attended;

·        Grade 8 awards to be presented at the Graduation on June 24^th to the boy and girl who most exemplified Christian values. (report attached)

Treasurer’s report: Lorraine McGregor reported on the Bank balances in the In Trust Account the General Account.  She reviewed a list of donations to be made from the In Trust Account.  Mariette Hickey made a motion to distribute the funds in accordance with the list as submitted.  The motion was seconded by Helen Bromley.  All were in favour.  Motion carried.

Lorraine McGregor mentioned that a suggestion was made to purchase two Banners for Pentecost.

Jo Anne Latendre made a motion that Two Pentecost banners be purchased.  Joyce Latendre seconded the motion.  After some discussion, a vote was taken and 35 members were in favour.  Motion carried.

Quilt Tickets:  Heather Cartmill distributed Quilt tickets.

Door prizes:  10 names for prizes were drawn.

Cathy  Gomm thanked Doreen Merkas for organizing the pinning ceremonies and all who helped.  She also thanked Mariette Hickey for leading us in the Song of Love and to all who brought food and assisted with the lunch.

Cathy Gomm also thanked all our members, the executive and Father Mathieu for all their support and help throughout this past year.

Closing Prayer:  Doreen Merkas led in praying “A Summer Prayer”.
