Presentation of C. W. L. AWARDS

TO THE BOY AND GIRL WHO MOST EXEMPLIFIES CHRISTIAN VALUES

JUNE 23, 2009

C. W. L.  AWARDS TO THE BOY AND GIRL

WHO MOST EXEMPLIFIES CHRISTIAN VALUES

I bring greetings to everyone from St. John’s Catholic Women’s League and congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2009.

I am honoured to be here with you to share in this celebration and to present a token of recognition to the girl and boy who most exemplifies Christian values.

During your years here at St. John’s School you have been taught valuable lessons – not only academics but also Christian values.  You have learned, I’m sure, that kindness and love brings about peace and harmony AND that bullying and making fun of others brings about anger and pain and discord.  You will carry these lessons with you for the rest of your life, which will always help you to become good citizens of the world - nice people to know  – true children of God ….

Jesus came to show us how to love God and love one another --- and he called all of us to follow him ---

Come September you will be stepping into another phase of your life journey – your high school years.  We extend our best wishes for success to each and everyone of you as you continue your education.

It gives me great pleasure to present this token of recognition, on behalf of St. John’s Catholic Women’s League

to the girl chosen to receive it --- Kyra Nytch

to the boy chosen to receive it --- Chris Taylor
