"I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

With these words and the pouring of water we invite the newest members of our faith to join us in our celebration of God's love for the world.

In our parish community of St. John the Evangelist we celebrate the sacrament of baptism in a ceremony following our Sunday Eucharistic gathering.

Prior to the sacrament we invite parents and godparents who are accepting the responsibility of faith development for their children to join us in a preparation session. This session will give all an opportunity to learn more about the sacrament of baptism and their own faith and beliefs.

When parents are ready to take these steps for their children we ask they contact the parish office.
