We Discover God's Path
The paths of God are paths of life!
Life, how wonderful, how amazing it is! To discover its beauty, to enjoy its wonders, you must open wide your eyes and your heart. Life, how powerful it is, how mysterious! Through days and nights, through changing seasons, life is renewed unceasingly.
The paths of God are paths of joy!
Isn't it a great gift to know about God's love already? Isn't it a blessing to know that God will always love you, that God's love is even stronger than death? Jesus' joy came from his loving communion with God his Father. Prayer was what kept this joy alive. Jesus wants us to share his joy day after day. That is why he gives us his Spirit to teach us how to pray.
The paths of God are paths of love!
Before returning to his Father, Jesus said to his friends: "I am giving you a new commandment. Love one another as I have loved you". But is it possible for us to love as Jesus did? Yes, it is possible, because his Spirit is with us as he promised. The Holy Spirit helps us keep the Law of Love alive in our hearts. And when we listen, wonderful things may happen.
The paths of God are paths of peace!
Everyone tries to be happy, and to live in friendship and peace. And that's what God wants for us. That is God's Great Dream, his great plan that Jesus came to tell us about.
Sometimes we think only about ourselves ... Sometimes we hurt others ... Sometimes we neglect to pray and give thanks to God ...
When we have done wrong, we need to be forgiven. God always forgives us. But God calls us to make up for the wrong we do. God wants us to make peace with each other.
"Happy are the peacemakers. They are truly God's children".
We are invited to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Praise God with shouts of joy, all people! God loves us, God forgives us, God lets us live in joy. Alleluia!
The Lord has done wonders for me. Holy is the Lord's name!
